Personalized medicine: uSTEM’s new project presented @ the pitch selection of LifeTech Forum 2017, Venice

uSTEM is one of the five start-up companies selected to participate in the pitch selection of LifeTech Forum 2017, and it will present its first project specifically focused on personalized medicine.

Our scientists will  illustrate the innovative technology and services of uSTEM in front of a jury of the most important experts of the healthcare sector.

uSTEM won a call for funding from Veneto region!

uSTEM is pleased to announce that its proposal has been chosen for funding in the following call: “Bando POR CRO, parte FESR, 2014-2020, Azione 1.1.1” published by Regione del Veneto.

The project focuses on the automation of the industrial process of production of autologous human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) in a microfluidic platform, and the funding will finance the employment of a few dedicated scientists.

The uSTEM team welcomes its new members, who will contribute to increase its level of excellence!

Thanks to the many opportunities provided by the ISSCR Annual Meeting and to the numerous participants, the ground was set to boost our tailor-made cell reprogramming services and products.

Elena Serena presented the role of patents in protecting intellectual property and, in turn, in attracting business angels and seed investments. Highlighting the experience of uSTEM, Dr Serena stressed the importance of investing in research and patents, in particular at a startup level
